For many of the UK's serious players The Bridge was not just a BDSM play event, it was THE BDSM play event. This party grew into a nationally visited phenomena. Genuine players missed it at their peril.

Born out of The Moonman's Dream, The Bridge (between fantasy and reality) was launched onto an eager public in Birmingham on a chilly evening in October 1998. It was soon established as the top UK play party due to its industrial feel and excellent ambient atmosphere.

Then, in June of 1999 a News of the World article forced the venue owners to run for cover and saw the party close.

Now, changes at the top in the venue has reversed that situation and The Bridge reopens at the original venue on 18th of August 2001.

Management at the venue, said goodbye to the us on instructions from their board of directors. A recent change of ownership at the Sanctuary Nightclub in Birmingham changed that situation allowing them to invite the Desyre Foundation to take up where they left off two years ago. "We didn't want to loose the gig in the first place, scene people are a really pleasant crowd to be around ,and the Bridge was a party that we really looked forward to each month" said Jaz Tambour the manager of Sanctuary. "As soon as the new owners took over I called the Desyre Foundation and invited them back in".

The Bridge is a monthly event taking place on every third Saturday of the month.
